📊 Review
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a first-person shooter game. You will feel smooth and comfortable while playing it.
Multiplayer Mode
Multiplayer starts strong. You get to choose “Specialists.” Which are different characters with special powers or weapons. But you can only use one special move at a time. Therefore, you must choose wisely. You can still make your loadout with guns and gear, just like in older Call of Duty games.
The Specialists add more choices, which is fun at first. It’s nice to try different ones at first. However, after a while, it feels slow and less enjoyable because unlocking new characters takes too much time.
The maps in multiplayer are excellent. There are places to hide, jump, climb, and run along walls. You can also slide to escape fights. The movement feels very smooth and fast.
Zombies Mode
The Zombies mode, called Shadows of Evil, is a distinct and creative experience. It’s set in a weird, jazzy city with portals and creepy monsters. It’s hard, but that’s what makes it fun. Being a player, you learn something new every time you play. You feel good when you finally figure things out.
There’s also a second zombie mode called Nightmares. It unlocks after you finish the campaign. This mode uses the same missions as the story but adds zombies. Surprisingly, this mode is better than the main story!
Story & Campaign Mode
Sadly, the Campaign is the weakest part of the game.
I played the role of a soldier in a futuristic world with robotic powers. At first, it felt cool to hack drones, burn enemy robots, and stun enemies. But that fun didn’t last long.
The gameplay got boring fast. I just kept walking forward, shooting enemies, reloading, and repeating the process over and over again. The enemies were not intelligent; they just took more bullets to kill. It felt the same at every level.
The story attempted to discuss robots and AI taking over, but I found it confusing. The game posed big questions but never provided answers. When it ended, I felt nothing. It ended quietly and left no lasting impact.
Characters
- Specialists (Multiplayer): Unique characters with one special weapon or power.
- Zombies Characters: Each with their backstory, trapped in a strange world.
- Main Campaign Character: You play as a soldier. There are other characters, such as Taylor and Hendrick, but their stories are difficult to follow.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a mixed bag. The zombie mode is fun and creative. Multiplayer is exciting at first, but it doesn’t last long. The campaign is not enjoyable.
If you love fast action and zombies, you will enjoy some parts of this game.
Pros
✔ Smooth and fast movement.
✔ Great multiplayer maps.
✔ Fun zombie modes.
✔ Cool powers in campaign.
Cons
✖ Story doesn’t make sense.
✖ Takes too long to unlock new Specialists.
